Gorgeous Summer Cuts
The Modern Shag. While the shag has been around for years, it’s only gotten better with time. Some of the modern versions are the wolf cut and the octopus cut. Whether you go long or short, the main features of the shag are choppy ends, layers around the crown, and lots and lots of texture. It’s a great cut for any face shape and any texture from straight to naturally curly.

Octopus Cut. Go for the octopus cut which showcases heavy layers on the top and sides while the length drops into long, slim layers – similar to tentacles.
Wolf Cut. Or explore the modern take on the shag with the wolf cut. This is a perfect blend of the 70s shag and 80s mullet with a blurring of the lines between the sides and top to give it a sassy modern-day look.

The Bixie. If you want to go short this summer, the bixie is topping the list of the cutest cut of the summer! It’s the perfect union of a short bob and pixie. It’s a great cut since it’s so easy to maintain, and when you are ready to grow out your hair, you can just let it grow with trims and it’ll look great! With the slightly added length of a short bob, you will have endless styling options where you can let it be natural, can slick it back for a sleek look, tousle it for great texture, or pin it back with some cut clips – you’ll absolutely love this style and with some highlights, you’ll definitely stand out this summer!
Classic Bob. The bob is a cut that never goes out of style. We’re seeing a lot of blunt-cut bobs this summer for all hair types. Since it hits right about at the chin, you can go a little shorter or keep it longer to push behind your ear – but either way, it’ll be off your neck to keep you cool all summer long. This is a cut that you can put some hair product in and let air dry for a natural look whether it’s off to work or the beach.
Bottleneck Bob. This is a 70s-inspired cut that we’re seeing a lot of this summer. It falls mid-neck with blunt ends so you can wear it down without it heating your neck, or put it up in a partial updo for some fun! Try this cut with some curtain bangs to elongate the face, or some wispy bangs to give it just the right amount of edginess and sass. This is the perfect cut to go soft and romantic or edgy and fun. Amazing Summer Hair Colors
Raven black. This glossy, deep black is hot this summer. Whether you’re doing short or long, ask about a gloss treatment to top off the color to really give it an intense shine.
Sandy blonde. If you want to brighten your look without going over the top, this sandy blonde hue will give you the perfect sun-kissed look while still looking natural. This is a great all-over color or used as highlights against a medium brown base.
Peek-a-boo highlights. Have some fun this summer with peek-a-boo highlights. Pick a base that complements your natural color and then show off your personality with a peek-a-boo layer of color underneath. Blues, greens, pinks, and teals are top options and when worn up, can give you a whole new look showcasing your amazing color!
Peach delight. Peach has become a fast favorite this season. It’s a subtle shade that isn’t quite pink and is definitely not orange. The final look is a peachy rose in the light and looks good on almost any skin tone.
